TATE VS NUÑES AT UFC 200

Just yesterday the MMA community was shocked to hear the news of Miesha "Cupcake" Tate (19-4) and how she is going to be defending her title belt for the first time against no other than Amanda "Lioness" Nunes (12-4).

We were even tricked a little bit because "Alpha" Cat Zingano has been hinting about her opponent and how it will be announced closer to around her birthday July 1st and UFC 200 is July 9th. Knowing that she beat Miesha Tate before I'm sure she was itching to take a chance for that belt again. "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey (12-1) was also a choice fans were thinking, but Dana White stated that she will not be making her return until the fall because of filming dedications.

Fans and fighters for UFC broke all over Twitter to share what they thought on the matter. A lot of them are saying it should have been Holly "The Preachers Daughter" Holm (10-1) getting her well-deserved rematch against Tate where she lost to a rear-naked choke during the end of the 5th round, which granted Holm her first loss.

When you look at how "The Notorious" Conor McGregor is getting an immediate rematch against Nate Diaz (and that fight was clearly lost) at 170 lbs. From the sound of it, Nate Diaz doesn't sound too happy about it either.

It is clear how the UFC could be choosing favorites, but if this is how UFC 200 is going to be it is still going to be big. Nunes might not be as famed as a fighter as some of the other top 10 contenders, however, she knows how to fight. Especially coming off of a win at UFC 196 against Valentina Shevchenko with a unanimous decision from the judges.

If Nunes wins against Tate to become Champion what would happen to the bantamweight division?

Would Zingano finally go after the belt and beat Nunes again? Or what if Tate wins? Would Holm finally get her well-deserved rematch against Tate and switch places? Or would we get Rousey vs Tate III maybe during the first UFC event in New York?

It's so exciting. I can't wait to see what happens next. In the meantime, what do you think?
