During the UFC Fight Pass Early Prelims, Randa "Quiet Storm" Markos vs Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger was the match to watch.
At the weigh-ins yesterday, she ended up entering the fight 1 1/2's overweight which gave up 20% into her score right off the bat when the judges start to score, which works in Jocelyn's favor. The bout successfully went all 3 rounds where Markos won by unanimous decision from the judges.
The Canadian native has been out of the Octagon for over a year and sometimes when you take such a long break you can get what they call "ring rust".
That wasn't the deal for Markos tonight. During the first round, she seemed a bit timid until she ended up finding her groove.
Especially during the end of the first round. All I keep saying to myself is "BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM" she was pounding her fists against Jocelyn's face over and over and over. She was lucky the bell rang otherwise Herb Dean would have ended that fight in the first round.
"Quiet Storm" seems to be making more improvements every time someone gets put in front of her. As she called out inside the Octagon we all hope to see Markos fight in Vancouver.
She seems confident and ready for war.
