SHOWER THOUGHT MASHUP: MIESHA TATE VS CAT ZINGANO 2

JUST THINK ABOUT IT...

#1 women's bantamweight contender, Miesha "Cupcake" Tate (18-6)

#5 ranked women's bantamweight, "Alpha" Cat Zingano (9-2)

WHY DOES THIS MAKE SENSE? AND WHY DO WE WANT IT!?

The first fight they had together was during The Ultimate Fighter Finale 19 where Zingano completely dominated Tate with her Muay Thai skills.

FLYING KICKS has to be one of my favorite moves to see from Zingano followed by heavy elbows to match of course.

Even though Miesha Tate now adds that she is Champion of the division for such a short amount of time, but it is hard to believe that now that Cat is back that she doesn't want to seek redemption. Now that she lost she might seem a little vulnerable and "beatable" as some people would call it.

You start to see holes with fighters you once thought were unbreakable.

I have always felt this rematch needed to happen for the title shot to go after the belt. When Cat Zingano wasn't back and Holly Holm ended up getting the chance to win the belt (which she won) that would have been a fantastic opportunity for them to give it another shot.

Through the years "Cupcake" has been working so much more on her striking and her standup game is strong (given her loss against Nuñes) maybe we should take into account the broken nose; the strength of her strikes). No excuse but Tate can take punches and kicks to the face. Especially now. Standing against a recent loss to Julianna Peña, Cat Zingano--I feel she has earned her way to fight against the former Champion again.

We all learned something new with these fighters during their bouts at UFC 200. Zingano comes with heart. ALL-THE-TIME. And never giving up in her fight she showed a huge amount of audacity. She will never give up no matter what tough situation she is in. Her best will be given in order to figure it all out.

For Miesha, her guard always has to be up more. Maybe going for takedowns earlier in the game unless standing up with a power striker is what she wants to showcase depending on her opponent's takedown defense. We also saw that Tate can get hurt. We haven't seen her get rocked in a very long time.

These 2 ladies still have something to settle and I would love to see this rematch.
