SO WHAT DO I THINK OF ALL THIS??
Nuñes is PRIME with her BJJ. She just won the belt over Miesha Tate, who has excellent wrestling experience as well but also knows how to keep it standing which is how she defeated her. Amanda wanted this spot for a long time, even when Ronda Rousey was Champion, but was never given the chance.
It seemed like she was being overshadowed and looked over a lot as not being a threat to the other fighters. Even though she remained a top-ranking fighter for a long time. Her new skills just show how much more explosive she is.
Going against someone that is JUST as explosive as our "Venezuelan Vixen" over here, that will seriously be the mashup to make. When Nuñes was fighting Miesha it seemed like from the power of Amanda she couldn't go on anymore.
No one has put Peña in the position before. She has out-shined all the doubters, just like Nuñes. These ladies both have Champion material (which Nuñes) has already shown. They can both strike, defend, and take you down all in the same round. This will be such an amazing fight until the end and who knows, we just might see it in our future to come.
