It has been since UFC 198 where Cris Cyborg (16-1) made her UFC debut for the first time inside the octagon.
She faced off against Skrap Pack's, Leslie Smith. The fight ended up being in Cyborg's favor as she won the match very quickly against the BJJ star and got her hand raised in the end.
Fighting at catchweight seems like something Cris might have to start getting used to if she wants to fight for the UFC (at least right now) because there isn't a 145lb women's division yet.
With that news, Cyborg still remains as the women's featherweight Champion of Invicta FC.
On the night of September 24th for UFC Fight Night 95, she will be fighting against Lina "Elbow Princess" Landsberg (6-1) as the headliner of the Main Event on that card in Cyborg's hometown of Brazil.
It will be nice to see Cyborg fight again and to see how much she has grown since fighting for the first time inside the UFC cage. This seems like it will be a tough fight for Lansberg just given Cyborg's track record and winning streak.
Either way, I am excited to see this bout go down.
