Honestly, I don't even know where to begin because I feel the situation that is happening with this division is just sad. there's really no other way to describe it.

Let's take a few steps back here through a "quick" timeline through it all.
1. December 13, 2016: UFC announces a new women's featherweight division and a bout between Germaine De Randamie (7-3) vs Holly "The Preachers Daughter" Holm (10-3) for the first-ever 145 Champion...

2. December 13, 2016 - TILL THIS DAY: there was MAD talk about why Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino (16-1) wasn't a part of this.. (as we learned the issue dealt with an insane weight-cut and false test results.
3. January 2, 2017: Dana White quotes," a women's featherweight division was never the plan, but now we're in."
4. February 11, 2017: Germaine wins the women's featherweight belt then proceeds to tell Joe Rogan during her winning Octagon interview after being asked about fighting Cyborg next that she needs to get hand surgery first.
OK. whatever... NEXT.
5. February 12, 2017: Germaine offers to give Holm an immediate.. *I repeat* IMMEDIATE rematch for the controversial win.
6. February 13, 2017: HELLA RANDOM BUT SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD MEGAN ANDERSON (9-2) SAID IT ISN'T THE RIGHT TIME TO FIGHT CYBORG THO hahahah ugh.
7. February 15, 2017: Holm files for an appeal against Germaine because of some late punches after the bell... idk.
8. February 28, 2017: NYSAC denies Holm's appeal. I MEAAAAAAAAAN..
9. March 28, 2017: I do a self-defense class with "Alpha" Cat Zingano (9-2) and she literally yells the entire class how she got the call first to fight for the belt against Germaine however, UFC randomly decided on Holm with even giving Zingano a phone call like DAMN, RUTHLESS MUCH?!
10. March 24, 2017: Cyborg vacates her Invicta FC belt and calls out Germaine for UFC 214.
11. March 24, 2017: Germaine De Randamie was LOST... literally. SEE BELOW.
12. ALL OF APRIL 2017: Germaine is nowhere to be founddddddd... well as far as responding to Cyborgs callouts...
13. SOMEWHERE WITHIN SOME TIME THERE ARE JUST MORE FIGHTERS CLAIMING TO FIGHT CYBORG AND THEN BACKING OUT.
14. May 1, 2017: Anderson was on The MMA Hour where Cyborg called in and was like "YO WE SHOULD FIGHT AT UFC 214" and Anderson was like "YA.. SURE.. *I feel a little pressured but I am on this podcast soooooo* LEZZZZGO.." lol. anyways everyone listening was like YAAAS BETCH aka hotting up twitter with them hashtags to Dana White and Sean Shelby trying to get this fight to happen...
15. MOST OF MAY 2017: Cyborg and Anderson were literally Twittered out with "HEY DANA WHITE LET'S GET THIS FIGHT GOING"

16. May 13, 2017: rumors of Cyborg vs Zingano started to surface on the internet...

18. May 20, 2017: Cyborg and Anderson were in the hotel I was staying at in Las Vegas and they literally did a staredown by the damn pool like OK I SEE YOU DEF LET'S GET THIS FIIIIIIGHT was literally everyone's mood during that time.
19. May 22, 2017: The Cyborg vs Magana situation at the retreat. OK. I'm not going to get into this right now so I'm just gonna moooooove on.
20. May 26, 2017: Germaine comes from out of the basement and states she doesn't want to fight Cyborg because of her 2011 PED situation... LOLLLL and literally would rather vacate her belt hahaha WOW.
21. May 29, 2017: Germaine says she wants to focus on her natural weight and go back down to 135 lbs in the women's bantamweight division...
OH LAWDDDDDDDD.
22. May 29, 2017 - PRESENT TIME: EVERYONE in the MMA/WMMA world within the UFC and fanbase is saying Germaine is running from Cyborg.
23. May 31, 2017: Anderson gets a title fight booked within Invicta FC against a fighter making her Women's featherweight debut, Helena Kolesnyk (5-0) and Cyborg is pissedddddd
24. June 1, 2017: Zingano tells the world she can't fight because of medical situations. I completely understand this situation so I'm not hating one bit. this bout will happen but not at UFC 214.
25. June 1, 2017, ALSO: Dana White confirms that Cyborg will fight at UFC 214, but they are still working on an opponent.
26. June 1, 2017 - RIGHT FUCKING NOW: WHO THE HELL IS CRIS CYBORG GOING TO FIGHT?!??

That should put you up to speed a little bit, but also want to touch upon a few things here... T
The main issue I have as a fan from a birds-eye view is watching Champions not defend their titles. as we have to hear about Germaine not wanting to fight Cyborg because of old issues like I CAN'T.
Seriously...
And I'm sure others can as well. Please, someone not wanting to fight Cyborg? Stand in line. It Is just a little embarrassing mostly for the UFC in general as this dying division is coming ahead anyways. It's as if no one is giving a fuck. do I blame Germaine? I mean whatever... if the UFC doesn't care, why should she?
Just sad.
So when I sit and really think about if it's not going to be Anderson or Zingano, who could it be? There is literally NO ONE in the division. It's great that UFC announced a new weight class for women at 125 lbs, but the TUF auditions that already happened for the women's flyweight division should have already happened for the women's featherweight division too.
Now IF Germaine isn't going to stand up to the plate with her BELT and fight Cyborg, should she get stripped of the belt? because in my opinion, this is what I think...
Until then catch me at UFC 214 in Anaheim on July 29th regardless and hopefully, UFC will make the decision for Cyborg to give life back to this division. if it falls off, let's keep it real, LMAO.
UGH. That would be horrible. UFC needs all weight classes. At least every 10 lbs, but hey.. at this rate we can only hope right?
