A FIGHTING STATE OF MIND

My mind has been racing ever since UFC 208 aka THE AFTERMATH OF IT ALL.

The only thoughts that happened to run through my head were of all the fighters and all the bouts all at the same time.

>>>>>>SPASTIC THINKING<<<<<<

Das me.

It happens. Thats my brain. Yet, I'm a blogger that never sleeps on MMA. However, the overall process of it all can be rather daunting at times...

Sometimes it is a rigid recipe for writer's block because my mind is so compressed with all these thoughts at the same time. when that happens I tend to hit a wall and can't get my words out correctly.. as days tend to pass and the conversations started to flow again I am pleased to just GET IT ALL OUT.

*insert a really inspiring passionate quote about myself here*

Now that I have gotten that out of the way and you haven't given up on me yet so that's a good thing.

GET READY.

When I take Ronda Rousey out of the equation and start thinking about the women's bantamweight division as it is now it gets me really excited about the future. Things are going to change for the better and I feel female fighters are finally gonna get their time.

Right now that time belongs to Amanda "Lioness" Nuñes, which if you were living under a rock, is our current women's bantamweight Champion. forget everyone else for two seconds, because that brutal 48 second TKO in the first round was E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.

And TBH Nuñes is enjoying that Champion life and taking everything in. she deserves it too. what an amazing, humble, and talented fighter.

Women's strawweight Nina "The Strina" Ansaroff (7-5) did her thing at UFC Fight Night: Rodriguez vs Penn just over the weekend after getting a submission win over Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger (6-4) in the second round.

These 2 ladies are livingggggggggg and their relationship is beautiful. Yaaaas. get it.

NEXT.

As we know "Alpha" Cat Zingano has entered into fight camp and racking my brain apart trying to figure out where she would be fighting and who her opponent is. At first, I thought it could be Raquel "Rocky" Pennington as they have fought in the past.

But unfortunately, Pennington is going to be out of the Octagon for half of the year because of an unexpected surgery needed.

So then my mind switches to Bethe "Pitbull" Correia (10-2), however, her fight was announced against Marion Reneau (7-3) at UFC Fight Night 103 in Brazil.

Then I was like HMMMMM what even makes sense and I was like ok. I got it. Ashlee Evan-Smith (5-1).

I am just going to leave that there.

HERE ARE MY LAST MINUTE THOUGHTS THO.. (which will be followed by articles).

1. The rematch between Tyron "The Chosen One" Woodley (16-3-1) vs Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson (13-1-1) could have waited for a fight or 2 IMO because the fight between him and Demian Maia (24-6) is what should happen.

2. "Thug" Rose Namajunas (6-3) should fight Michelle "Karate Hottie" Waterson (14-4) next.

3. Angela "Overkill" HIll (6-2) is the real deal.

4. I am feeling some type of way about all these interim belts being created when Champions have only had their belts for a couple of months...

MOVING ON.

5. my girl Julianna "The Venezuelan Vixen" Peña (9-2) vs Valentina "Bullet" Shevchenko (13-2) is going to be litttttt and I am so stoked to be watching it live.

6. Conor McGregor? what can I say? it's $5 for this PPV interview vs a large Little Caesars.

No real argument there. my only thing is I really hope he isn't just talking about his life monuments that we already know, because the real thing we want to know is what's going on with Mayweather?

Are you going to retire? if not, who will you fight next?

7. I am digging the amount of women fighters that have been added to UFC Houston on February 4th because it is going to be the year. there is already a new 145 lb division that is opening which means we will have 3 Champions. my thoughts are why not have an all-women card that showcases 3conor Champions?

JUST SAYING.

Hopefully, in the future, a 125 lb and 155 lb weight division can be created too!

8. with "Notorious" Conor McGregor (21-3) getting his boxing license in California while Nate Diaz (20-11) is doing the same plus Nevada it's like ok I get it. Mayweather reached out and wanted Diaz to join the TMT.

He will once again be involved with a story with McGregor however, would this offer still be on the table if the fight between Conor and Mayweather really did happen? There is a lot to think about with this.

At the moment there are way more things to say however, I have to leave something to the imagination correct?

On that note...

I leave for Denver, Colorado in 8 days? yes. UFC Denver here I come!

See you then. section 148 seat 5.
